We are a family farm and are very happy that our daughters and grandkids are at the farm everyday.  We love the families in our barn too.  One of our favorite families that we are developing is Lylehaven Damion Lynx EX-94 was bought as a 3 year old and has made a lasting impact on our herd.  Her EX-92 Atwood daughter “Cat”, Cat now has seven daughters in the herd all VG.  Cat has maxed scored all 3 times she has been classified.  Another family that is coming together started with the purchase of Milksource D Devils-Red-ET EX-90.  Her dam Destiny EX-94 and her 2nd dam is Desire EX-96.  We have daughters and granddaughters coming up in the herd; developing RC genomics with extreme type. We have bred or developed 250 EX cows and in 2017 were honored with the Wisconsin Distinguished Holstein Breeder Award.

We are focused on making cows with great functional type which we believe is the most important factor in a cow having a long life. Strong cows that are deep and wide with great udders and feet and legs, equals cows that will last many lactations and be productive. We started registering some of our heifers in 2011 and now I register 98% of my heifer calves. Our animals are correct but they don’t have to be showy. Our goal in the next few years is to have 100 Excellent cows. We focus on production, specifically fat and protein. We have many nice bloodlines to work with and welcome visitors to come see the great cows at our farm.
